Wilpattu National Park in the northwest is the country’s largest national park, defined by its unique natural lakes, called villus, within dense dry forest. It has one of Sri Lanka’s highest leopard densities, ensuring sightings feel wonderfully private. Sloth bears, elephants, crocodiles and rare waterbirds complete an experience of pure wilderness.
